I'm Ray and I write and draw when the motivation/inspiration strikes, which is really fickle and comes and goes as it pleases.
I'm currently very into BNHA, but I still love seeing things from many anime/manga and games.
I also have some original characters I love them dearly despite all their quirks. These arts are pretty old, but I still like them some.

Things are starting to quiet down a bit after the initial influx of users

Remember to follow the people who's art you really enjoy! Don't worry about how many people follow you vs how many people you follow (You can actually hide this in your preferences!)

Scroll through the local timeline to see what everyone is up to and to look for more artists to connect to! I've seen people here interact with artists they're fans of, there's no need to fear, just say hi!

I just feel like there is less of a competition here and more genuine sharing.
Even when it is purely professional.
I don't feel like comparing myself to the others but inspiring myself from everyone.
And hope to have some conversation on arts.

If that means taking lots of breaks, or even taking days or weeks between big projects, that is *OK*! Every artist is different, the time it takes you to make something doesn't in any way change that you are an artist. One person's output schedule will change drastically from another.

Be patient with yourself, be kind to yourself, take pride in what you do even if it isn't perfect yet. You're constantly growing, even in the midst of burnout. Be proud of that!

It's hard to constantly be putting out creative work, and burnout happens really easily when you're constantly using up everything you have to do it.

take breaks! remember to feed yourself! take your medication and take care of your body!

You're an artist no matter what or how much work you put out - so make the process enjoyable and comfortable for YOU!

reminder to love urself even when ur not performing to the standard you wish u were!!!

Today I wanted to try creating foliage which is the same colour as the ground texture. It kicked my ass because I'd misunderstood what some of the settings actually do, and I had to go about it a lot different from what I intended... but it looks pretty good, especially when light is hitting the surface at an angle.

Crop of a small piece I did just for myself between all the work.
