kelbotLooking back I think Google Reader shutting down was the thing that tipped me towards thinking about taking control of the technology I use and rely on. I didn't self-host anything at that point. I have my own rss server now and a nextcloud server. Also, over the past year I have completely ditched hangouts, telegram and twitter for wire and mastodon.
