And Western airplane manufacturers continue to claim China is no competition at all.

The C919 is intended to compete with the A320(neo) and B737(max), both priced at around $100M a piece.

Currently Boeing and Airbus pretty much split the difference in sales for these types of planes, so they're both missing out on $40B in orders already. Not exactly pocket change, even for them!
