Silent Ice Cream@schestowitz I call BS. How does a hosting provider hold your website hostage? No backups that can be moved to another hosting provider? That's poor practice. Snopes can't be that big of a website to move. It is mostly text that I would think would just be a simple database. Why would the hosting provider keep it up? Are they asserting copyright? If so they seem to have a scammy hosting provider and a crappy lawyer. But what do I know, I'm just a talking beer milkshake.
