Brace yourselves! I just heard the most frightening of all pro-Google arguments, namely that "contributing my pictures and information to Google maps is a bit like paying taxes to the state: I give a bit expecting to receive something in exchange in a near future". This is wrong on so many levels I can't even begin explaining... How can we possibly win?

@Antanicussocial.coop I actually think of contributing to traffic data in Waze that way, but it's a much narrower domain than all of my data to Google.
