@baldur This is very thought-provoking.

There is a dynamic between the people who are good at thinking about things and the people who are good at building things that this illuminates. Sometimes these are the same people, but the nature of being extraordinary at one tends to undermine the ability to be extraordinary at the other (in some ways one activity negates the other).

I'm not advocating for one over the other, it's just interesting to think about.
