Something I've noticed is that I tie a lot of my self-worth to the accomplishments of the people around me. Like, if somebody accomplishes something that I haven't managed to accomplish-- anything from getting their degree to finishing their fanfiction-- I treat it as inherently lowering my own worth as a person.
Which, obviously, isn't how that works.
So my reminder for y'all is: be nice to yourselves. Your worth is inherently your own. The success of others is not your failure.
