   Pretty disturbed by Stross's final remark at #34c3 that we all need to be on fb because opting out is like cutting our mouths off despite our face.
   I'll be here when you need me: If you're ever debating anything and someone spats at you "...Let it go. Everyone is on fb!" Remember I'm here for you. Go ahead, say it. "No. Neither isn't." Along with all sorts of people you've never heard of, because they're not on fb.

      @neither I don't really know much about Stross other than that he's a scifi writer and from that talk it seemed to me that he was behind the times or just raising concerns which aren't especially important, such as video propaganda. He seemed to have no concept that it might be possible for users to control software.
