   activitypub is only going to get interesting when it does other activity types, but that's still not a huge advantage over ostatus that also can be extended with other activity types. I guess activitypub is cleaner, but really you implement a few libraries and what's the difference. I guess I mean to say that activitypub is better, but ostatus already existed so what is the difference if you've already implemented ostatus.

      @moonman there really is no difference. it is a bit nicer, but as you say, if you already have ostatus, there's zero reason to implement activitypub.
