Controversial opinion here.
Whether you like or dislike a film. You should let others go see it as unbiased as possible.
Everyone is allowed their own thoughts, don't try n give someone their own before they've even been.
There's a difference between them actively seeking out reviews, and other people just kinda loudly going on about a piece of media, to try and sway opinions before it's even been interacted with.
Should note, again, this applies to both positive and negative impressions. I just...think you should let people go in with as clear a mind on it as possible.

It's hardly the biggest deal in the world mind you, I wouldn't really fight tooth and nail over it. But...I dunno, I always tried to keep thoughts to myself until the person I know, has seen whatever I'm talking about.
And others...don't seem to. Which is entirely their prerogative. Maybe it's a culture thing? Not sure.

@katiekats I think I have a differing opinion on this. Particularly because I really don't like when I see a movie (Star Trek comes to mind) then come to hate it on repeat viewings as I notice things I hate. I'd rather have all the material to dislike it going on.

@tekk
That's fair, I can get that. Personally...I don't know. The opinion I have on first finishing something, tends to be what I stick with. Whereas there's definitely been times before I've had all the bad, or all the good, pointed out to me beforehand, and that's made me focus too much on them when I've went to see it. Hence that evasion.
Can understand what you're saying though. Liking to garner all the information about something before you...deal with it, per say.
