"It’s 1953. While the United States is locked in a nuclear arms race with the Soviet Union, the gay Southern playwright known as Snagglepuss is the toast of Broadway. But success has made him a target. As he plans for his next hit play, Snagglepuss becomes the focus of the House Committee on Un-American Activities. And when powerful forces align to purge show business of its most subversive voices, no one is safe!"

This is an actual comic. Well, one coming out. By DC.
I'm...not sure how to feel.

Though one thing I can say is "lets make the gay stereotype character -actually gay- I'm sure that'll not cast any negative aspersions." Is a bit...much.
-
Genuine question though, when did "LGBT stereotypes are really bad" become "actually we should push LGBT stereotypes as though they're true."
-
I -kinda- understand that thought process of 'reclaiming' or whatever. But...surely the best way to go about that, isn't "yeah you were basically right all along, all the stereotypes we got offended by were actually right and we're the idiots for being offended by them."
-
@katiekats not that I'm exactly stereotypical as lgbt goes but I imagine some of it may be a "so what, that make me less of a person?" thing.
