   I've always wanted to be online and offline at the same time, thanks to AT&T I am now living the dream/nightmare.

      Fleeting despair crossed my mind as the AT&T call center representative asked:

      "Have you rebooted your computer yet?"
      "Uhh, is there, umm... somebody else I could talk to?"
      "Unfortunately we don't have a tier 2 or 3 anymore..."
      "Do you have, umm, a tier 4, 5 or 6?"
      "I can transfer you to our connect tech line! They know all about how you can hook your modem up!"
      "I give up... you are telling me that there is nobody who I can just report an outage to?"
