me: okay so ten years ago when i wrote this age verification software instead of testing the full year i just tested the two most significant digits and had it throw for any year over 2000, now nobody can sign up for my website because (2018-18)%100=0 and it's not possible to have a negative birth year… i honestly figured we would've replaced this script by now
