   What reasons would you give to a GNU/Linux savvy desktop user to start using #BSD besides sheer curiosity / knowledge?

      @kzimmermann I don't know that there's much else to give them. Over the years, they've made different choices, so there may be something about one Unix-like OS that makes it fit someone better than another one. The only way to know for sure is to try a few different ones (whether GNU+Linux or BSD or Minix or something derived from the former OpenSolaris effort).

      @kzimmermann Dislike of systemd and a desire for something closer to POSIX/old UNIX are two I hear a lot.
