    Something something mmx

    Something something systemd-resolved

    Something something heartbleed

I can accept arguments of "no better option" when it comes to processors for instance but the people who ignore vulns and then get owned by them I have zero sympathy for, and the fact that the people that told us about these vulns get so consistently ignored unless they have one of the Big Names TM behind them is pretty damn telling.  They accept it not because of the severity of the vuln or how well its proven, but because it comes from The Authority - despite the fact we basically know most of these big tech companies by hook or by crook are in the US intelligence community's pocket and aren't going to protect us from the most egregious exploits.
