   Jack caught a snake. Just a tree snake of some kind, but not a little one. Impressive work for an old man who's supposed to be on his last legs. I dropped it down by the creek in the long grass, a bit mangled and in shock (the snake, I mean). At least if it expires there something else will be along to eat it, which is not what the snake might have hoped for, but more dignified than the rubbish bin. #cats

      Followed rapidly by another ride to the creek bank in the shoebox ambulance, this time by a juvenile blue tongued lizard. Jacky may need to come indoors. #cats
