    the fucked up thing about programming is that nobody ever says "it's cool the way you use a for loop there! i like the way you named those variables, those are good names" the only say "why did you do it like that, thats the way a baby would program. youre a baby. and not even one of the babies who can program"

      @jk seems like most tech folks eschew "soft" skills, like, oh i don't know, empathy, in order to score cheap points knocking others down. but after 2 decades in this biz i've decided that if teams really get serious about empathy and making each other feel good and smart and creative and constantly learning, then we can all grow together instead of just stomping on each others' heads. We all wanna be Spock but feelings actually matter more in the long run.
