         @awg not really, i saw similar things mentioned in bug tracker. i suspect polish dvd release was actually repackaged 5 cd one too.

         @awg yep, checked on windoze and now i'm sure it's either scripts or some kind of an override in scummvm that doesn't work with polish version. executables are both version 1.02. different checksums though. https://gs.smuglo.li/attachment/827120 https://gs.smuglo.li/attachment/827121

            @awg yeah, it works properly in polish version running the original executable. maybe a screenwipe instruction left floating?

               @roka given that it is win32, perhaps the event loop never got to redraw the window's contents for some reason.

                  @awg it works with english version of riven in scummvm - either the script differs or scummvm patches it somehow and the patch is not applied to polish version
