    Story idea: Time travel is possible, but you can't change position when jumping through time. Your position is fixed in the universe, meaning the Earth's rotation, orbit, movement of the solar system, movement of the galaxy, etc, are all changing but the time traveler isn't. Jumping any length of time puts you further and further from Earth.
