One experiment that I'm doing for WeDistribute is that each of the federated communication projects gets their own Hubzilla channel, which pulls updates from Git, Official Blogs, Discourse, and other related touch points relevant to their community.

The goal is to make streams that highlight everything going on with each project, as a means to track progress and discussions.
