matt 🏴Some people argue re: adblockers "I'm okay with reasonable, non-invasive ads, because the people running the site have to make money somehow." But websites aren't intrinsically valuable. If I visit a site and it fucking sucks, why should the people responsible make money from me? I don't whitelist anything. The advertising model itself is bad. People are incentivized not to do good work, but to trick as many people into looking at it as possible. The quality is irrelevant.
