@yukiame @roka @sim @mangeurdenuage @clacke @lain @sarcasmkid One of the arguments I heard for making voting mandatory is that if voting is inconvinient and optional then only the extremists and fanatics will bother to show up, and by making it mandatory you get those moderate centrists to vote for something reasonable.
If people vote for celestia or hand in an empty ballot - that is totally fine. Because the main goal was forcing the lazy to participate, not forcing the upset to participate.
