    I will be bringing Zot nomadic identity to ActivityPub - just as I brought it to Diaspora and OStatus (you probably didn't know that). Other systems/platforms can choose to ignore it (as they currently do), but everything they require to process and deal with nomadic identity will be there for them to consume if they ever wish to join us in the 21st century.

      @dsh nice.

      Somewhat unrelated; I want to follow Mike, but I can't seem to find him (with his recent posts) from my Diaspora instance (datataffel.dk), and it doesn't look like he's publishing on ostatus?

      @dsh Ostatus has some rudimentary scaffolding for nomadic identities that show they flirted with it once, but it obviously wasn't expanded on.  I intend to develop it at some point, but health has made my development time scarce.

      @zatnosk it is entirely possible that Mike doesn't have federation protocol plugins enabled on his main channel. For the time being, his profile may be Zot-only.

      Actually, I stand corrected. Mike is discoverable on OStatus: mike@macgirvin.com

      I'm currently running zot, diaspora, ostatus, and activitypub. There was a problem a few days ago because LetsEncrypt rewrote my .well-known/.htaccess file in an incompatible way and broke webfinger for a few days before I discovered what they did, but that should be sorted.

      His account also works via Diaspora protocol.

      I wish I could implement Zot but as someone who only does statistics it's probably well beyond my limits being so superior :P

      @dsh that seems odd, considering his loud words on interoperability.

      Put it in a bitly link because I'm not sure how other federated systems read our URLs.

      @dsh Ah great :)
      And now I'm annoyed that the different networks use two different methods for distributing replies.
      And I fear it won't be resolved just because we move to ActivityPub. :/
