      Do you mean the whole pool was being used as a deep fryer? Or a regular-sized deep fryer inside a pool?

      Regular-sized fryer inside of the pool, off to the side. The grease would cool by the time it came into contact with the people playing at the other end.

      All of that stuff sounds like Austin on Barton Springs Rd. Except Shady Grove is a restaurant, and I don't know if anyone threw their fryer into the pool.
