Sorin Davidoi@nick Completely agree that a browser tab is preferable (I refuse to use the Slack application and instead load it in my browser of choice - same goes for Spotify though their web interface is inferior to the application).
But sometimes you want to do things that aren't available on the Web (interface with some C code, run in the background and show up in the system tray) - and for those cases I think Electron has a place.
