I don't think gold has lost 60% of it's market value in 30 days.Even if it did, you'd still own gold, a trade-able asset that has stood the test of time.
The time it takes newbies to learn btc would be better spent on learning to play Texas Holdem. There's skill involved and TX Holdem will outlast btc by millennia.
