      @djsundog it was supposed to be. I was told that was the case and was a protected thing when I was in school.

      I was also told that the two party system prevented extreme views from being mainstream, so that shows the quality of the education.

         @webinista @djsundog I wonder how much of folks realizing that we do it now is due to the ability of such things to spread on social media. But it's a thing I try to point out to folks whose political hopes are to get us back to 2008 or even 2015... that's not good enough.

            @platypus @webinista no amount of going back is ever going to find us a good place imo (and I get nostalgic af sometimes) - we've gotta keep hauling ass away from these broken old systems as fast as we can carry each other
