you can mute convos you're part of, last I checked

but I'm seeing something blow up and I just think, well

it'd be easy enough to insert a small, noninteresting response, and then I can mute the convo

but if you're not part of it you basically have to mute the PEOPLE doing the convo instead

it feels rude and vaguely manipulative to do this but I'm a little low on frustration tolerance today, so yeah
