      @mmn They need to come on "temperature" before they can fly. They usually know alternate nests. So no worries.

        @morph I learned afterwards that the nature care agency (Naturvårdsverket) in Sweden says that you should lift (at least baby) bats pretty high up because they can have issues lifting. It didn't seem to be the case with this one though, fortunately.

        The reason I wanted it to get out of the way was because otherwise I'd have to step _over_ it (and considering how well it blended in with the ground I'm sure I'd accidentally step on it).
