Stefan Sperling@wezm We want quality contributions and those don't come from high numbers..I understand tapping into github's userbase to enlarge the pool of potential contributors seems tempting, but keep in mind what this implies: You're essentially expecting github to build a community for you on your behalf, so you can grow faster.
The real solution is long-term community building on independent infrastructure. It doesn't grow by accretion. Success is measured in turnover of people who stay around.
