Once again the Davenport car lanes appear to have been plowed straight into the bike lane, making it difficult or impossible to use the latter for more than a few dozen meters at a stretch.

The second half of that frustration is that taking the [car] lane in those obstructed sections means I have to slow way down. The motor traffic really does plod along in that stretch. No wonder the drivers are always so frustrated and incautious.
