Jubal BarcaI can't help feeling that all the "America is a failed state" takes (of which there are plenty) risk being rather insular and unintentionally flippant about what "failed state" actually means for people in places where government has literally collapsed, which is what the term usually actually means. America has a LOT of problems, but the literal collapse of its central and state governments isn't actually one of them.
