      @thatbrickster I've started hearing people worry about the national security threat posed by chinese phones and the covert surveillance they could enable. Idk if it's just proteccionism or if it's legit.

         @ayy Chinese smartphones with stock Android should not be trusted as companies like Xiaomi and Meizu drop in software that ranges from bloat to spyware. LineageOS is your friend although you're still at the mercy of the modem firmware (at least it's not proprietary for me).
