   Trump has just hit his lowest ever popularity rating amoung self-identified republicans. At 80% approval. EIGHTY PERCENT of republicans approve of him.

   Meanwhile, 5% of democrats also approve of him.

   I find these numbers really alarming.

      @celesteh those kinds of polarization numbers are really bad.

      even if you replace trump with $POL, having those numbers means that $POL will win any primary $POL gets into, and it becomes an epic showdown in the general - and it starts to get into identity - identifying with $POL, not just being "ok he's the person I prefer"
