Conversation

So I was supposed to go on a *mandatory* field trip to Barcelona this Sunday for a week, but I can't afford it. My mother was going to help, but she's on life support and heavily sedated - she has septicaemia and pneumonia, and possibly brain damage. I obviously can't go abroad while she's like that.
To be honest I'm relieved to not be going, I barely have enough money to cover the costs, and then I'd have to worry about money again once I'd have come back. Feeling uncertain.
