    It is always funny to see people try to do the same nonsense with apk-tools that they would with other package managers and then eventually discover that the obvious way of doing what they wanted was the way to do it all along.

    them: "I can't pin packages!"
    me: "Sure you can. `apk add $package=version`"
    them: "I thought it would be that but that seemed too easy."

      By the way, you can pin to specific package UUIDs too (this happens automatically when you do apk add foo.apk)

      The apk-tools 2.10 pin command will automate this with already installed packages.
