The wonderful international copyright laws have cut off Project Gutenberg https://www.gutenberg.org/ from Germany. At least partially (I could access the start page, but no further pages) based on the GeoIP of your connection. The reason is a lawsuit, based on the rules of when publications go into public domain (Death + 70 years vs. Publication + 70 years, as I understood it).

As https://blog.fefe.de/?ts=a465cfdf (DE) pointed out, the suing publisher is part of the Holtzbrinck Publishing Group https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holtzbrinck_Publishing_Group, and the Wikipedia contains a nice list of other subsidiaries of that group... https://cand.pglaf.org/germany/index.html
