   Thoughts on those cheap Amazon Fire tablets? My cheap, shitty Lenovo tablet died a while back and I've been thinking about a Fire, since my tablet use-case is basically just reading longform articles and watching videos.

   I know Amazon tablets don't have Google Play Services installed, but I also know how to get around that if needed, so that's not really a problem.

      @ink_slinger Knowing your preferences, I'd recommend against it. They are cheap, but you are locked into the Amazon ecosystem.

      I've had a few, and my favorite is my Samsung - That company makes really nice electronics for good prices.
