    Seeing the pressure being put on sites to be HTTPS always assures me that it's pretty much a given it's been cracked in some way.

      I had a person complain to me that the postActiv site, which is entirely static, without dynamic content, and has no login or other information it passes in some other way, wasn't HTTPS.

      There's literally no gain here.  I mean it does protect against MITM stuff I guess, in that context, but that's a pretty edge case scenario these days, unless your ISP is being a bag of dicks, and I can't really stop your ISP from fucking with you if they want to.
