Twenty years or so ago, we had a heat wave in Wichita over Labor Day weekend and her central A/C went out. We ran all over town trying to find somewhere that still had a window unit in stock that late in the year, and finally found a clearance/OOB one at Home Depot.

Now I live further north *and* closer to the Atlantic, it is September 23, and I just turned on the house A/C. 🔥 🌡 🔥

And Home Depot had plenty of window units in stock because they're not out of season yet.
