received some #weatherfaxes on #HF from #DWD #Germany - using #Tecsun #PL-880 and #fldigi with homebrew "random wire" (plastic covered washing line running around the perimeter of an upstairs room) and balun made from a ferrite core plugged into external antenna socket.

A crude setup and HF reception is variable here anyway (noise floor increases loads at night and I have to use 3855 KHz instead of 7880) but sometimes gives good results..
