Being a junior high (and then 'middle school") teacher was my good fortune. I spent 36 years sharing my experience with eager learners.
Science was my subject, but I was, in truth, a generalist. Every assignment had links to all the other stuff in the kids' lives. We dealt with reading, writing, math and history. We were regularly dismantling and making, before it became STEM.
I was blessed with a lack of focus. https://mastodon.cloud/media/s7SThLx4rHAVWkQloNQ
