Getting ready to start making my own print books. InDesign is the industry standard, but Adobe's software subscription fees can go jump in the lake. I have InDesign CS2 but given that my PhoSho CS2 barely functions anymore, I hate to rely on it.
I hear Scribus is the open-source answer to InDesign, but I also hear it hangs when doing doesn't do "long documents" (though no one defines that in wordcount).
What else is out there?
