It's supremely ironic to me that anti-vaxxers cite distrust of the pharmaceutical industry as a reason not to vaccinate, while at the same time also citing Andrew Wakefield's "research" that vaccines cause autism.
Which would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad because he manipulated his "research" in order for his own vaccine to be used instead. Which is peak pharmaceutical profit mongering. The irony is lost on anti-vaxxers though and reminding them of this really doesn't work. At all.
