I'm getting a devious joy from these Hacker News comments https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=16659360. Someone tried to post a technical article and everyone is just bitching about the fact that the article needs third-party JS to even render the text. Good, they should be bitching. How do you write a whole document in plain text with no images and *still* require third-party JS just to load it? I mean what's the bloody point.

I dunno, though, I've moaned so much at this point I just feel like Basil Fawlty beating up his own car.
