    @steviep @scott my thought is that this is what makes federation interesting, things don't have to get diluted. You can have lots of tight-knit groups, and they can each have internal discussions and internal policing. For instance, each of the the local photography group can have an instance for its members.

    This also makes things like external meddling (i.e. Russian election efforts in the US) more difficult because you have to participate in the community.

    But, truly, no one knows. 😄
