    Attempted to watch Pirates of the Caribbean but gave up. None of the characters invoked any empathy, so no-one to root for or care about. Just seems to be a string of action sequences tied by the thinnest of "stories" - I've seen better plots in a porn flick. Unfair appraisal?

      I was always slightly disturbed by the "Pirates of the Caribbean" attraction of Disneyland. Tableau scenes of pirates chasing women. And what do you think are they going to do to those women when they catch them?
