    You know, he could have just taken the lift up to the viewing deck of the Taipei 101 or the Hong Kong ICC and spared his back. Or even better, hiked up Kebnekaise and reached 4 times higher than his rocket.

    He still wouldn't have seen that the world is round, though. But it seems that wasn't his aim, this is the second prototype on his way to space. Last time he collapsed for threee days, so a sore back seems a good outcome.

      @clacke He only became a Flat Earther when his crowdfunding was failing. And then it succeeded, and he got a whole lot more publicity, with the flat-Earth thing mentioned in every headline. I am not convinced of his complete commitment to Flat Earthism, and I *am* convinced that even if he is fully committed to that belief, it wasn't really a big part of his personal motivation for building a rocket.
