    I'm not bothered by instances migrating software in and of itself, to be clear, and frankly I'm kind of glad they're not going to postActiv if we're being entirely frank here, because then they're not my problem, but it does kind of bother me on some level I couldn't even describe that people are happy to trade down for a less feature complete software because its the trendy thing.  I can rattle off a dozen things GS has that either Mastodon or Pleroma don't, let alone postActiv, or even better, Hubzilla.

      It's the same mechanism that sees people stay on Twitter even though it is, as the saying goes, shitter.  It's trendy and has the social credit.
