On the recent topic of multiple identities: I often use "y'all" online, where no one knows I'm a dog, and don't feel weird about it at all. But if I, a Canadian dog, were to actually say "y'all," I'd feel super weird about it.

@ink_slinger Having lived in a "y'all" place, I'm sad it hasn't been universally accepted. It's a good patch for a bug in the English language, vastly superior to other options (no thank you, yunz), and has a positive relationship effect.
Adam, to the extent I can, I bless your usage of "y'all".

@Modern_Industrial Are there really people advocating for "yunz?" I've never heard of that one and I agree that it sounds goofy.
